SUZUKI PIANO AND VIOLIN
Tricia Lakes is leading the new Suzuki Violin and Piano program after joining the PrePrimary I team in the summer of 2014. Before joining Suzuki, she worked for several years in an afterschool program, teaching violin at The Galloway School. Tricia learned violin through a Suzuki violin program as a young child, and was a member of the Agnes Scott College Community Orchestra.
Tricia enjoys teaching young children because they are naturally curious, and when they learn a new concept they get so excited and are proud of themselves.
She is an avid reader – she consumes books! She also enjoys playing her violin.
Tricia holds a BA Degree in English Literature and Music Performance from Agnes Scott College. She is also close to completing her Masters in English Literature from Georgia State University. She has completed training to become a Certified Montessori Infant-Toddler Teacher at our Montessori Teacher Education Institute.
