Our heartfelt thanks go out to the many generous families, teachers and children who participated in the Suzuki in Bloom festival, held at the Northside Campus on Sunday, May 22. It was an amazing event that showcased over 500 pieces of individual artwork from the children in the Infant, PrePrimary, Primary and Kindergarten programs. In addition, there were over 20 pieces of truly magnificent collaborative artwork sold during a Silent Auction. In total, the auction and sale of art work raised over $7400 which will be donated to the following organizations: Children’s Health Care of Atlanta, Children Helping Children and the Whiteford Community Program.
Dr. Suzuki stated “When love is deep, much can be accomplished.” A foundational component of the Suzuki philosophy is that of the “Noble Heart”. Creating the art for Suzuki in Bloom allowed each child to develop this heart as they watched the work of their hands turn into funds that were then given to those in need.
We appreciate all the support for this wonderful event, and hope you enjoy the pictures we have posted! See you next May at the third annual Suzuki in Bloom fundraiser!
