Tamara Patrick
Level I A

Tamara is an associate in Level IA at the Ponce City Market Campus.  Tamara, who goes by “Tam”, joined the Suzuki School in summer 2014 and started attending the Infant-Toddler Montessori Training shortly thereafter.   Before joining the Suzuki School, Tamara had almost 2 ½ years of experience working in traditional child care centers. During and after college, Tamara pursued a journalism career working for Dayton Beach Times Newspaper, as well as doing freelance work for the AJC.  As she started her career in journalism, she recognized that her heart was still in working with young children. She had a friend who worked for The Suzuki School, so through her friend, she came to teach at the Suzuki School.

Ms. Tamara loves that she is excited about her career and loves to come to work each day!  She has an affinity for very young children and especially enjoys witnessing the rapid growth of the infants in a short period of time.  She feels lucky to be able to work with these young children as they change so quickly, and each day is a brand new day in their world!

In her spare time, Tamara enjoys reading, writing, and going to Piedmont Park. She has also kept her hand in journalism, and from time to time writes special interest stories for the AJC.

Tamara has her BA in Mass Communications from Bethune-Cookman University in Florida.  She is attending the Suzuki Montessori Teacher Education Institute in pursuit of an Infant Toddler Montessori certificate through the American Montessori Society.
