Suranika Galhenge
PrePrimary ii

Suranika Galhenge is an Associate in the PrePrimary 2 classroom at the Northside Campus. Suranika brings a unique experience to the school, having taught for 2 years in a Primary classroom at a private Montessori School  in Sri Lanka.  She also taught at Wesley College in Sri Lanka as a drama and theater teacher!

Suranika immigrated to the United States in 2014, joining the Suzuki faculty shortly after relocating. She has quickly adopted the city as her new home, and has even conquered learning driving in the city!  Galhenge feels very fortunate to have joined The Suzuki School and the Pre-Primary 2 team because it was a very welcoming community, and has become her new family and friends.  Although trained in Montessori Primary, she plans to stay with the Pre-Primary aged children because she so enjoys watching them discover the world around them, and teaching them to become independent learners.

In her spare time, Suranika continues her passion for singing and hindi dancing. In addition, she is a movie buff, in particular, action films!

A graduate of College Kalaniya University in Sri Lanka, her course of studies was languages. Not only does Suranika speak English and Sinhale, but she also studied the languages of Hindi and Koran in college. Galhenge is currently attending Georgia Perimeter College where she is taking computer programming classes. She hopes to eventually get another BA, focusing on programming and technology.  Although pursuing programming classes, she has no specific plans to pursue this career, but rather, wants to focusing on enjoying life and teaching!
