Lourdes Dumke
Primary III

Montessori Teacher

Lourdes is a Lead Teacher in the Primary 3 classroom at Suzuki’s Ponce City Market campus. She worked as a Lead Teacher at Suzuki’s Northside campus for several years before transferring to the Ponce campus. Previously, she worked as a Spanish teacher, an ESL teacher, and an Upper Elementary-level Montessori teacher. She has been a teacher for more than 15 years.

What Lourdes loves most about working at the Suzuki School is being able to work in a multi-age environment using traditional Montessori methods and materials each day. She enjoys being part of a teaching team that can share ideas and who support each other daily. She especially loves the students and families at Suzuki and their commitment to partnering with the school to help their children learn and grow in the best possible environment.

In her spare time, Lourdes enjoys spending time with her family. She has a husband and two grown children, both of whom were Montessori children. She also loves exploring the food, art, and culture of Cuba, the birthplace of her parents and many of her relatives.

Lourdes holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Florida, and completed post-baccalaureate training as a Spanish teacher, ESL teacher, and an Upper Elementary-level Montessori teacher. She also holds the Early Childhood credential from the American Montessori Society.
