Lisa Mcclendon is a Montessori Teacher on the Primary 6 faculty at the Buckhead Campus. She joined the school in 2006 after relocating from Detroit, where she worked for 9 years in the Detroit Public Schools as a parapro with 3 and 4 year old children.
Lisa has a deep passion for children, in particular, with those who are vulnerable. She is viewed as a teacher leader and is well-respected in the faculty community for her knowledge of teaching young children and her skill in working in a collaborative environment.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys cooking up a storm - in particular, the art of baking! She has recently discovered a love for travel and is taking full advantage of that new interest.
Lisa has a BS in Social Science and a Masters in Special Education from Ashford University. She is both a PAMS-certified Montessori Teacher as well as an AMS Certified Teacher.
