The school leadership team collaborates with parents and teachers to provide an educational environment of excellence. The Suzuki School uses a highly collaborative organizational structure which utilizes extensive feedback from both the teaching and parent community during decision-making processes.
Collaboration with parents focuses primarily on the needs of the family’s individual child. Virtual town hall meetings, surveys, individual conferences and workshops provide ongoing dialog to the Administrative staff as they make the key decisions that most benefit our students.
Parents are encouraged to provide consistent feedback to the school and we provide multiple ways for them to do so. Our emphasis on an open-door policy ensures access to immediate dialog and resolution for both parents and Suzuki staff.

Paula Charles, President has been with the school since 2005. She was introduced to The Suzuki School when her infant daughter attended the school years earlier. Paula has a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Texas, and BS in Accounting from the University of Washington. Before joining The Suzuki School, Paula spent many years working in management consulting, and in Corporate Finance. Paula and her husband, Robert live in Buckhead.
As a former gallery owner in Charleston, SC, Kimberly has a love for and art and children. After receiving a Masters in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. Kimberly had a change in career paths and in Spring 2008 began working in the Primary classroom at The Suzuki School Buckhead Campus. This enabled her to incorporate her love for art into the classroom. In 2009, she and two other Suzuki teachers began Suzuki In Bloom for the Primary classroom which quickly became a school wide art event. After two years in the classroom, she moved into the Admissions Department where she was also heavily involved with the marketing and opening of Ponce City Market.
Charlie Marie Jones comes to Suzuki with a wealth of prior experience in Early Childhood Education. Charlie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Psychology, and has worked in organizations ranging from Montessori programs, Head Start programs, to various traditional and inclusive programs in the Metro Atlanta area. Charlie has a strong passion for helping children at all levels of development succeed in the classroom. She has a strong background in teaching and administration for child development programs, and is a trainer for Better Brains for Babies Georgia.
Sabrina Davis graduated from Georgia State University in 2016 with a BA in Psychology. She is currently considering pursuing her Masters in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology. In the past, she has worked as a sub with Suzuki, and is now with our Montessori Teacher Education Institute, where she has been since 2015. In Winter/Spring of 2017, before coming to Buckhead, she worked at the Northside campus.
Kelly Perryman obtained her undergrad degree in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia before pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration from Strayer University. Kelly started in August 2006 in the classroom before moving to Administration, where she devoted herself to Admissions and ensuring the new family experience is one that represents the heart of Suzuki. In October of 2016, she became the Director of the Northside campus, and is excited to begin these next steps in her journey!. Her daughter is also a Suzuki alum.
Megan Lorick joined the Suzuki School in the Summer of 2012, where she eventually became the Lead Teacher in Primary 1. Prior to joining Suzuki, she worked as a Kindergarten and First Grade teacher at the Hebrew Academy. Megan is passionate about educating young children and has found the Montessori method of education to be an incredible way to help each child become not only cognitively prepared for the next stage of their development, but socially and emotionally as well. Megan graduated with Honors from Florida State University in 2011 and hold a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Early Childhood Education. In addition, she holds the Early Childhood credential from the Pan American Montessori Society. Megan has also completed the Early Childhood credential with the American Montessori Society.
LaTallia Lockhart holds a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fort Valley State University and a BA in Psychology from the same institution. La’Talia was also a ParaProfessional at Visions for New Hope. La’Talia has a strong love for children, and is thrilled to be supporting families and children in a preschool which so strongly honors each child.

Courtney May has worked with children and families in a variety of capacities for over 15 years. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development, she began work at Quality Care for Children as an Early Care and Education Specialist. In 2006, she accepted a position at the Frazer Center as the Director of Child Development Programs and eventually moved into a larger role as the Director of Programs. During her time working at the Frazer Center, she also earned a Master's Degree from Georgia State University in Early Childhood Special Education. As the Director of our Ponce City Market location, Courtney brings an amazing amount of talent, dedication, and knowledge to the Suzuki community.
Kristen Walker graduated from UGA in 2006 with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Child and Family Development, and started teaching in Athens, GA shortly after that from 2006 to 2008. In addition, she taught in Shanghai, China from 2008 to 2010, where she spent time in Kindergarten and 1st grade at Xiwai International School. She came to Suzuki to teach Kindergarten in the Summer of 2010, and has since then taken Dr Meadows PAMS course, where she obtained her certification in November of 2013. Kristen also has a son, born in September of 2014, and who started at Suzuki in Summer 2015!
Lyndall de Klerk
Lyndall de Klerk is originally from South Africa and came to the United States at a young age. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a BA in psychology. Before coming to the Suzuki School, Lyndall worked at a domestic violence shelter that assisted women and children in need of immediate safety. She is excited to be a part of a learning institution that continuously supports each child to reach their full potential.

Sunny Alley grew up in South Georgia surrounded by a family of educators and has acquired teaching and academic coordination experience in the U.S., China, Benin, France, Costa Rica, and South Korea. She has a Bachelor's degree from Queens University of Charlotte in International Studies. Sunny completed her Master's degree in Responsible Management and Sustainable Economic Development from the United Nations graduate school The University for Peace. She was first introduced to Montessori as a full time teacher at a full foreign language immersion Montessori preschool teaching in classes from infant to preschool aged children in Mandarin Chinese, French, and Spanish language classrooms. She is thrilled to be a part of a learning institute that embodies the same high standards and values for independent growth and education that she shares with The Suzuki School.

Ashante’ joined the Suzuki School almost five years ago after working as a public school teacher for six years. Ashante has a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and Leadership from Cambridge College in Boston. She also has a Bachelors Degree in Art Therapy and Psychology from Converse College in Spartanburg South Carolina. She also recently received her Early Childhood Montessori Certification earlier this year. Her love for education and children is infectious. She is happy to work for such an outstanding school that goes the extra mile daily to honor children and equip them with the tools that help develop children that have a lifelong love for learning!

Myesha Moore, mother of 2, graduated from Clarkson College in Omaha, NE in 2004. The majority of her nursing experience is in the Primary care setting, where she worked side by side with a physician for 7 years. In this capacity, she gained knowledge of how to diagnose and treat many long term health needs as well as how to react in emergency situations. Her love for children and passion to educate is what brought her to the Suzuki Family. Now, she is bringing her wealth of knowledge regarding health and safety to all three campuses!

Kristye Kingston was born in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2012, she and her family relocated to Georgia to further their career opportunities in the Metro Atlanta area. Kristye has 8 years of experience in not only education, but in HR and in leadership. Before joining the Suzuki School, Kristye worked at the TJ Maxx Corporation and JCPenney Corporation in Human Resources and Talent Development for 4 years. She also brings 12 years of teaching and education experience from the Detroit Public and Charter School Systems. Kristye is excited to join the Suzuki School Team, because it allows her to combine her skill, love for teaching, and life-long passion for helping others. Kingston obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio and worked on her Masters in Educational Leadership from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.

Patrick Stephens obtained his MSc from the University of Edinburgh in August of 2012. After that, he returned to publish two novels and begin working in the field of digital marketing and technological innovation in the workplace with an emphasis on nurture marketing and lead conversion programming through various email automation programs. He has played with the Atlanta Pipe Band since 2003, and has won numerous awards through solo competition. He joined Suzuki in June 2014, bringing a background of digital marketing, technology, web design, data analysis, and communications to the position.
Robert Charles, CFO joined the Suzuki School in 2005. Robert provides leadership in finance and facilities and was instrumental in the design and construction of each campus. Robert has a Masters in Community Development from Georgia State University and a BA in Business Administration from LSU. Robert is an avid fisherman and musician.
Susan received her Bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University in Business Administration – Management. She grew up in Smyrna, GA, and relocated to Clearwater 22 years ago. In 2013, she moved back to Atlanta area to be closer to family. Susan has one daughter who is actively serving in the Navy, who is currently stationed in the Seattle, Washington area. In her spare time, she enjoys going to work out classes at the gym, walking and exploring hiking trails north of Atlanta, and browsing hidden treasures from yester-year at the many antique/reclaimed shops around the Atlanta and North Georgia areas.
Andrea Greene is originally from Lexington, Kentucky, but has lived in Georgia for almost 20 years. She currently has five year old son named Parker, who attended the Primary classroom at our Buckhead. She graduated from Chattahoochee Technical College in December 2014 and received her Associates in Accounting.
MONTESSORI TEACHER EDUCATION INSTITUTE
Dr. Ashley Darcy
Ashley Darcy is a certified Montessori teacher in Early Childhood with five years’ experience as a credentialed teacher in a Montessori Early Childhood classroom. She is an Early Childhood and Infant/Toddler instructor, currently teaching the Infant/Toddler Child Development and Introduction to Montessori courses. In addition, Ashley has earned her Doctorate Degree in Early Childhood from Kennesaw State University in December 2014. She is a recognized teacher for Bright from the Start, and has been leading teacher Montessori training sessions in the Montessori Teacher Education Institute this year as well as in-service training blocks since 2009.
REGISTRAR AND MARKETING COORDINATOR
Katherine Williams graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Linguistics. She has experience teaching literacy to preschool, elementary, middle, and secondary school children in Singapore, English as a Second Language to kindergartners in South Korea, and English as a Second Language to adult immigrants and refugees here in Atlanta, Georgia. After teaching language and literacy, Katherine spent some time working for Whole Foods Market on their Marketing Team and their Regional Training Team. Education, health, and wellness are all ongoing interests of Katherine’s, and in her spare time she volunteers at a local yoga studio and likes to explore the hiking trails of the Appalachian Mountains on the weekends.
