LaVelle Greenis an Associate faculty member in the PrePrimary One classroom at the Northside campus since the summer of 2016. Previously, she worked with developmentally challenged adults, as wells as a tutor at a Boys and Girls Club. During the summers, LaVelle taught in a YMCA preschool with children between the ages of 3 to 5, and student taught in a second grade elementary school.
Ms. Green has been working with children since she was 14 years old. LaVelle is intrigued with the Montessori approach and how it opens up the world of discovery for young children. She truly enjoys watching young children learn and evolve.
In her spare time, Ms. Green volunteers at Hosea Feed the Hungry and at the Atlanta Food Bank. She also devours fiction books!
LaVelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies, and a minor in Biology from Clark Atlanta University. She obtained her Infant-Toddler certification from the Montessori Teacher Education Institute of Atlanta in 2017.
