Ms. Larfaya is a Montessori Teacher at the Ponce City Market Campus. Ms. Larfaya brings with her a wealth of experience in the field of education, with over 15 years of experience working with young children. Most recently, she spent 8 years working in Georgia Pre-K.
Coming from Georgia Pre-K, she has found the thing she loves most about Suzuki and the Montessori Method is that the child is allowed to develop and learn at his own pace and based on his interests, rather than being strictly confined by content standards. Since starting her journey of continuing education in the Montessori field she has found that in the Montessori system of education each child is able to learn about what they are drawn to, and they flourish because they are given the time and space to do that! She loves the Pre-Primary age children because they have such a sense of wonder and amazement as they discover new concepts and begin to make sense of their world.
Ms. Larfaya has one son who attends Mount Pleasant University of Michigan. She is the youngest of three girls from Jackson, Mississippi. In her spare time, Ms. Larfaya enjoys trying different restaurants around Atlanta with her family.
Ms. Larfaya holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Mississippi State University and she is a Certified Infant-Toddler Montessori Teacher through the American Montessori Society.
