Joann Chime
PrePrimary II

Montessori Teacher

Joann Chime is a Montessori Teacher in the Pre-Primary II classroom at the Northside Campus.  During college, Joann participated in an internship working with young refugee children from Somalia and China. She enjoyed the experience of working with young children.  She eventually attended a college job fair where she saw the cylinder block presentation being demonstrated by a Suzuki teacher, and she was hooked!

What excites Joann about working at the Suzuki School is the opportunity to work with amazing children doing amazing things! She enjoys the experience of watching the children grow as we work with them.

Ms. Joann is a seasoned traveler and has visited Nigeria five times.  It is a grueling trip with long flights and a 14 hour bus ride, but cherishes these journeys of love to visit her extended family.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking – in particular Italian and Nigerian foods.

Joann graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University. She has also completed her Infant-Toddler Montessori certification at the Montessori Teacher Education Institute through the American Montessori Society.
