Deborah Grant
Pre Primary III

Associate-Teacher

Deborah Grant is an Associate in PrePrimary III at the Ponce City Market Campus.  After Graduating from UGA, Grant went to Korea for a year to teach middle school and high school. Upon returning, Grant started teaching at a traditional child care center in midtown as a toddler teacher.  During this time, she continued her education by pursuing a Masters at Georgia State University in Early Childhood Special Education.  Deborah was introduced to Montessori through the Master’s program, and after visiting a model Montessori classroom she became very intrigued with this method of education.  She learned about the Suzuki School and joined the school in the summer 2015.

Ms. Deborah finds the children to be utterly awesome! She values that the focus is solely on the children and that the faculty collaborate on how to best meet their needs. She is a “Montessori Convert” and sees that well-rounded, peaceful, motivated critical thinkers are the outcome of the Suzuki School's vision!

Deborah is big into sports, in fact so much, that in high school she went to Sydney, Australia to compete in a volleyball tournament. She also played tennis and basketball for many years.  Currently, she focuses more on spending time with her church and family, cooking, and knitting!

Ms. Grant graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Advertising. She is currently in a Graduate Program at Georgia State University for Early Childhood Special Education. She is also in pursuit of an Infant-Toddler Montessori certification at the Montessori Teacher Education Institute through the American Montessori Society.
