Cheyenne Jackson

PrePrimary ii

Cheyenne is an Associate Teacher in the Pre Primary classroom at the Ponce City Market campus.  She joined the school during the summer of 2016. After high school, Cheyenne joined the military where she spent 4 years working in IT. While in the military, she attended college, earning her Bachelor’s degree.

After her military service ended, Cheyenne wanted to pursue a career with young children. When Cheyenne was young, her family operated a daycare, and she came to appreciate the importance of working with young children.  She was interested in Montessori because it provided the children an enriched environment in which to learn, and afforded the children more opportunities to work independently.

In her spare time, Cheyenne enjoys playing soccer, and watching Korean movies.  Cheyenne has a deep interest in the Asian culture that was developed after a visit to China in high school.

Cheyenne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Georgia State University, and is currently pursuing an Infant/Toddler Montessori certification through the American Montessori Society.
