Carter Whitt Rutland
Primary VI

Carter Rutland is an Associate Teacher in the Primary Two classroom at the Buckhead Campus.  She has had a long standing love for children and eagerly dove into teaching upon finding Suzuki.  Prior to joining Suzuki, Carter spent time as a volunteer teacher at The Fernbank Science Center.  She also spent a brief period working at a bank.

Carter joined Suzuki in 2014.  Suzuki interested her because she found it to be unlike any other educational setting. She found satisfaction in watching the children discover something new, whether on the playground or in the classroom repeating lessons they love.  Their eagerness for learning is intriguing and motivates her to continue learning new ways to hone the children's’ talents and interests.

Carter finds working in Primary to be an enjoyable experience for herself and the children because she gets to watch the joy and satisfaction in their eyes as they learn new things! She is captivated by the intelligence of the children and the intricate details of each of the classroom materials.

When not in the classroom, Carter enjoys indulging in the arts - she is a painter and has sold a number of her works. She is also a member of the Atlanta Schola Cantorum (Choir).  She enjoys spending time outdoors and believes doing so is crucial for young children to learn how to explore the amazing world around them.

Carter holds a BA Degree in Creative Writing and Print Journalism from Georgia State University.  She has also completed the Early Childhood Montessori training program.
