Carson Butterworth
Primary III

Carson Butterworth is a Teacher-Associate on the Primary I teaching team at the Buckhead Campus. Carson joined Suzuki after spending time teaching Art to Kindergarten through 12th grade students at a private academy, and also teaching Art to 7th and 8th grade children in the Cobb County School System. It was through the advice of fellow educators that Carson began to pursue a career in Montessori education.

Carson joined Suzuki in the summer of 2014 and quickly discovered the value of the Montessori Method of teaching. She is continuously impressed by her students and their desire to learn. Carson truly enjoys observing the “Aha!” moment when children make new discoveries!

In her spare time, Carson enjoys crafts, painting, and attending theatrical performances. Each summer, she teaches a Creative Drama camp course at Troy University in Alabama, where she works with children from 6-13 years-old in both technical and performance skills. She also enjoys taking painting and ceramic classes. Carson takes as many opportunities as possible to include her artistic knowledge in the children’s curriculum.

Carson graduated from Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor in the Arts of Theatre and a Masters in the Arts of Teaching with an Art Education focus. Carson has also completed her Montessori Certification in Early Childhood Education.
