Careers at the Suzuki School
Faculty at the Suzuki School share a passion for Early Childhood Education and in teaching young children how to learn. Instructors at Suzuki, whether they are Montessori Teachers, Associates, or Substitutes, must demonstrate an understanding and interest in the developmental stages of young children, a belief that learning begins at birth, and must demonstrate their own interest in lifelong learning.
Who Are We Looking For?
- We strive to hire faculty with a passion for the Montessori System of Education and who wish to work in a year round school.
- We also seek educators who view teaching young children as a career and who value a school where professional and personal growth is supported as an integral part of a teacher’s tenure at the school.
The Suzuki School classrooms have Montessori Teachers and Associates who assist in the classroom. In order to be a teacher, you must have a Montessori credential, and a college degree. Many of the Suzuki associates also have college degrees, or are in the process of furthering their college education.
The Buckhead Campus is a two-story school located in the heart of Buckhead near the Buckhead Village Area. There are seven classrooms, and each classroom is designed to support collaboration and provide movement for the children throughout the day. A unique feature of the Buckhead campus is the two-story playground which provides a wonderful play area for the children on rainy days.
The Northside Campus is located in a separate annex of the Ahavath Achim Synagogue at the corner of Peachtree Battle and Northside Drive. Like the Buckhead Campus, there are seven classrooms, each designed in the same manner. The woodsy playground setting is tucked away among trees and a large stone wall. This campus also has use of a large indoor play space for rainy days and for other movement activities.
Ponce City Market
The Ponce Campus is located in the upcoming Ponce City Market center, which is the redevelopment of the old Sears building in Midtown known previously as City Hall East. Like both the Buckhead and Northside campuses, the Ponce City Market campus has classrooms designed to support collaboration and provide movement for the children throughout the day.
