Candice Stevens
Pre Primary III

Montessori Teacher

Candice Stevens is a Montessori Teacher with the Pre-Primary III teaching team at the Ponce City Market campus at The Suzuki School. Ms. Candice brings with her over 20 years of teaching experience. She has worked in private, public, and charter schools before. She has taught the Reggio method of teaching, special education, and has worked with children ages infant through 5th grade.

Having worked in many different types of environments, Ms. Candice enjoys the collaborative aspect of teaching at The Suzuki School. She loves working with other teachers and sharing ideas so they can arrange the classroom and present materials in ways that are most effective for the children. The adaptation of The Montessori Method to the Suzuki philosophies has been a natural transition for Ms. Candice because these values are innate for her. She is a calm, patient person and believes the children should be given the time and opportunities necessary to develop and grow at their own pace and explore their individual interests.

Ms. Candice is originally from Colorado. She loves to cook and try new foods and restaurants. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters and her dog when she’s not at school.

Candice holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Human Services from Mercer University. She is a Certified Infant-Toddler Montessori teacher through the American Montessori Society.
