Open communication

The Suzuki School values it partnership with parents and achieves it in various ways. The teachers and parents communicate daily about the progress of the child. When there are questions or issues, the school invites parents to meet with the leadership staff. We take our Open Door Policy seriously and want to hear from our families often. An integral part of our communication process is transparency: we believe that this is how trusting relationships between home and school are built.

At the beginning of the school year in September and in June, at the start of the Summer Session, we host Virtual Town Hall meetings by class to answer specific questions or concerns that parents may pose at this time. These sessions also serve as an update on the acclimation of new students and teachers to the classroom.

A weekly email blast is sent home at the end of each week, providing updates, classroom news, photos of classroom activities and lessons, reminders of upcoming events and timely articles. Monthly conference calls are scheduled so that the parent and school community may discuss together any pending issues.
